Bio

Michelle Weidman is an artist, writer, and community organizer based in Northern California. Previously published journalism and cultural criticism can be found at Congratulations Pine Tree, The Picture Professional, and Art Practical.

Her work focuses on the aftermath of desire, what is left over after we experience, often too brief, moments of satisfaction. She examines the damage done, from the interpersonal to the super-structural, in our striving for liberation and systems change and where that damage may be necessary versus where it is incidental.
